Latest news on Northrop Grumman, an American aerospace, defense and security company that was founded by John Knudsen Northrop in 1928 as Avion Corporation. It became Northrop Aircraft Corporation in 1929 after joining United Aircraft and Transport Corporation. It reestablished as Northrop Aircraft, Inc. in 1950 and changed its name to Northrop Corporation in 1958. It acquired Grumman Corporation, another pioneer in aviation and space, in 1994 and became Northrop Grumman. It is also a result of the integration of over 20 other companies from various fields.

Northrop Grumman is one of the world's largest defense and aerospace companies, with approximately 114,000 employees and an annual revenue of over $30 billion. It is the world's fourth-largest defense contractor by revenue for fiscal year 2022. About half of its annual sales are to the U.S. Department of Defense. Northrop Grumman also provides products and services to other U.S. government agencies, such as the Department of Energy, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as to international and commercial customers.
