Both Senators, Richard Blumenthal and Christopher Murphy, are Democrats along with all five Representatives. Connecticut also has a Democrat governor, Ned Lamont, who was reelected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by the Democrats, who have majorities in both chambers.
